MARY JO BARKER

Audience:  Teachers of children in grades 3 – 8.

Mary Jo is the State Coordinator of the Missouri State Council of the International Reading Association.  She is also a reading specialist in the Rockwood School District and an adjunct at Maryville University.  In her free time, she can be found "spoiling" her grandchildren (Haley 6 years, Rylan 3 years and Lucy 3 months).  She also loves cooking, gardening, and, of course, reading.

Audience:  Parents and Teachers of children in Kdgn and Pre-K

Amy Winning is a kindergarten teacher at Summit Pointe Elem in the Lee's Summit District. Amy has taught for the past 7 years in both kindergarten and preschool. In her free time, she can be found playing with her 2 dogs (Rosie & Odessa) and cat (Mulligan) at her home in the country.

KAREN GIBSON 

Audience: Parents and Teachers of Children in Grades 1-2

Karen Gibson is a first grade teacher and the mother of three young children. She is a teacher in the Rockwood School District with twelve years of experience teaching grades kindergarten through second grade. In her free time (she has free time?), you will find Karen on Facebook.

ALYSSA BARKER

Audience:  Teachers of students in Grades 6-8

Alyssa is a middle school Communication Arts teacher in the Ritenour School District with nine years of teaching experience.  She is the mother of three young children under the age of 6.  In her free time (really?), she can be found reading, reading, reading.  Want a good book for a student with a specific interest?  Ask Alyssa.

LORENE REID

Audience:  All Teachers

Lorene is a school psychologist in the Fort Zumwalt School District.  She is also an adjunct at UM-St. Louis where she has taught graduate-level reading courses for the past ten years.  In her free time, she likes to play with her Bichon Frise.
